Funtington: Pictures, People and the Past
We begin our winter programme by broadening our horizons to embrace a neighbouring Parish – Funtington.
Alec Peters and Geoffrey Boys have been collecting photographs and family memories illustrating
life in Funtington Parish for a new book to be published by Phillimore.
In this illustrated talk, they will share some of their discoveries, including connections
between Funtington and Westbourne and paintings by the Victorian artist James Charles,
who lived in East Ashling 120 years ago.

We return to “strictly Westbourne” for a Christmas Quiz (with optional easier questions) on Wednesday 16 December
at 19.30 at The Meeting Place. Sherry & Mince pies !
